William James Beckworth Jr. was born in Augusta, Ga in 1980 to William James Beckworth Sr. & Deborah Marie Howell. In 1993 he moved with his mother, brother Alex who is only a year & 5 mo younger & his sister Davina at almost 8 years younger. They moved out to southern California to San Diego & then to El Cajon & later to Lakeside Both in East County of San Diego. He loves action sports. He was introduced to skateboarding at a young age by some kids after starting school at El Cajon Jr High. He didn't get into skateboarding until he met his friend Jimmy almost 2 years later. He became a close friend & showed him the enjoyment & individuality in skateboarding. JB fell in love with the skating & that allowed him to be expressive in his own way. A year & a half earlier in Autumn of 1994, he fell on the backside of his head. In the Summer of 1996, he had stayed up all night until the next morning, depriving himself of precious sleep, not knowing what lie ahead. Around 8:00 am that next morning he had a severe grand mal seizure which would end his amateur skateboarding career.
